The Gender Politics of ICT: Call for organisations

> 6th International Women into Computing Conference
> Endorsed by INSEIT - International Society for Ethics and Information Technology
> and by the CPHC - Council for Professors and Heads of Computing, UK

> Thursday 14th - Saturday 16th July 2005
> University of Greenwich (Maritime Greenwich Campus)
> London, UK

Women into Computing, WiC, is a network of people committed to raising the profile of women in the computing and IT fields. Our membership, though largely based in the UK education sector, includes people from many different areas of computing and a number of countries overseas. WiC is affiliated to the British Computer Society.

We are organising the 6th International Conference for Women into Computing. Delegates from a number of different countries and different academic and professional backgrounds are expected to attend. The conference aims at raising the profile of our campaign and providing a forum for the discussion of research and other activities in the field of women, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), and computing.

The event offers the added bonus of being held in the beautiful surroundings of the former Greenwich Hospital designed by Christopher Wren, now Greenwich University, situated on the banks of the Thames with easy access to central London.

We are calling for contributions from organisations, companies and institutions that would like to make use of this exciting opportunity to present and advertise their work as an example of good practice in the field of ICT.

We will provide the space, tables and chairs. Organisations are expected to bring their own panels if needed. If further equipment is required, we will do our utmost to accommodate your needs.

PRICES PER STAND GBP 100 per day/ GBP 200 per the conference duration.

Please make all cheques payable to "Women into Computing" and forward it to the address below.
